Can someone please tell me the cause for blown out, or balloon teats?

Is this more common to a certain breed? I have the most problem with Brahmans.

Usually caused by an udder too small for the volume of milk production. You'll see that on 3 and 4 year old cows. Simmental and Hereford are also bad for that.

It is mostly a heritable trait. More common in brahman & hereford cattle. Jeanne
