I must say that we have a decent math department here where I work. Teachers are top notch, for the most part, and stay here, in this crap district, because they care about the students. I am sure that any of them could go to any other school, make more $$ and have fewer headaches.

1986 was a long time a go...i'm sure i missed a step but this is how our class would have answered the question for 5 marks. The correct answer was only worth 1/2 a mark though. The steps were worth more to prove you understood the point
