They have had their waterloos. Where is that? I don't follow their activities. I keep in touch with current friends who work in the Region 8 office in Denver on a personal level. My old team partner told me she had a bad situation in western Colorado.

Subsidence in Wyoming, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, etc. from early 1900 underground coal mining is common.

When it is as extreme as in the picture, the damage to the land exceeds the value of the coal that was extracted.
