What do you all consider serious enough mistakesa tax preparer can make to go somewhere else?
This year I had to switch tax people, because of mistakes my old tax person made, and just the fact that we could never get a hold of her. I was nervous to switch, I went there on 2-3 and went over all the info for 4 hours and he e-filed that day. Well 2 weeks came and went, and I went on the IRS site, and they said they had not recieved the taxes, so I called the guy and he looked it up, and long behold the day I was there he hadn't e-filed it like he said. He said he had a question he was going to look up, and forgot all about it. I was kind of upset, and he did e-file them that same day, but I'm wondering is this too big of a mistake to over look, should I go somewhere else next year? My gut is telling me to take my business elsewhere, any thoughts?
