I know you use Lutalyse, to syncronize their heat cycle, but how do you do it and how many CC's?

What is this stuff? Is it worth while and what are the pro's and con's?

those are some kind of broad questions.

What is it? Lutalyse is used most commonly for estrus synchronization but can also be used to terminate pregnancies.

Is it worthwhile? Depends on what you're trying to do. If you are wanting to a.i. but don't have time to heat detect, it may be worth your while.

Pros? will help synchronize groups of cattle for a.i.'ing or breeding.

Cons? lower conception rates than a.i.'ing off a natural heat.

Lutalyse can be used along with CIDR's & estradiol/benzoate for even better results.

Great answers txag.
Dun couldnt'v done better.

you also have to have vet approval to use it. if you have a heifer bred to early or to the wrong bull you can terminate the pregnancy. then they will cycle agaiin 2 weeks. they have to be 3 weeks to 3 months bred.
