Hubby went to town tonight. He got a big surprise at a neighbors place. He saw 2 bull elk in velvet. :shock: :shock:
This is not a normal place for them. Our uncle found a herd of 9 this last winter in his front yard.

How far away are you from the mountains and/or elk country?

You're not kidding about them destroying everything. They're no longer afraid of anything. I saw one last week stand and look quizically at a large dog barking in her face. I seriously wish white tails were as extinct as the dinosaurs.

I haven't seen elk or moose around here in a long time. We used to have a cow and calf (elk) that hung around for a summer when we first moved here but since they left we only have deer.

That would be a site to see indeed ILH he should have gotten a pic.
