I have separated a bull of mine from the herd so he does not come into contact with my heifers. I will have him in a pen with a few steers for a while. I am feeding him and the steers together. I wanted to get some advice on supplementing his feed with some grain, corn, etc. I am feeding good quality grass/alfalfa and would like to supplement that with a different type of feed. Obviously, the steers will eat some of this as well. I am getting this particular bull ready for his second breeding season so want to make sure I take good care of him through the rest of the winter. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

A good 10% horse and mule feed would work well. Plenty of grain with extra energy. They should be getting plenty of protein with the alfalfa mix.
