This morning's sunrise. The sundogs were rather large today. Guess -34 will do that ;-) .

Thanks. I've never ever seen one. Someone posted something about them last year and it sparked my interest and someone tried to explain it to me but as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words".
 
Thanks for all the comments everyone. Yes, those are sundogs, although once the sun got up they disappeared. I have seen it where the sun had a ring around it all day, thought maybe that would happen yesterday, but it didn't.

the sun is in the center. i've never seen a sundog at sunrise. just sunset. if a sundog at sunset means cold weather. maybe a sundog at sunrise means warmer weather??
