What size tractor do you use and how far a part do you space your row's ?

I use a farmall cub I'd say 22" apart too close but I like close because I feel the fertilizer side dressing plus my special additive I put in the middle of the rows gets good distribution but once things mature no more room for cultivating

I thought thats what you had. Thoes with attachments are hard to find aren't they ?

Thanks now I'm fighting the cabbage worms seems they only eat green ones and not the red
Same thing I noticed. I put liquid seven in my watering jug and poured on them and I have not seen anymore worn damage. The little yellow/white butterflies lay eggs on the cabbage and that is were the worms come from. You garden looks great. Since I got some rain my peas have produced, used 4 cabbage heads so far, beans are not far off and the potatoes are looking good. The first corn I planted is waste high and getting a dark green color.

Thank you.. yea major difference in a drought garden you water and an inch of rain a week garden. I planted 2 varieties of corn and 1 is tassled out and developing ears

A farmall in good usable condition is 1200 - 1500 usually .. a good rest tine tiller 800-900 so a cub can do many things. I cut my grass with a cub for years
I might have to look around and see if i can find one if the weather ever gets back to normal where i can put a garden out.

Weather is so unpredictable anymore here it's a gamble from one year to next as what to exspect from the weather.

Nothing is seasonal anymore.

I agree with you weather is very unpredictable.

Still in a drought here in Iowa so am getting annoyed with having to water the garden about every other day right now. Planted green beans twice this year, 1st time I think I may have planted a tad early and 2nd time have no idea why they did not come up so am resigned that it is a lost cause at this point. We had some unusually cold temps a few nights in early May too that I think stunted some of my pepper plants but they have finally recovered and look better now. My broccoli and cauliflower plants look really healthy as do my tomato plants. Bush cucumber plants are starting to climb up the trellis and summer squash plants starting to get some early blooms. Just got a good bunch of lettuce this week so overall while had some setbacks and failures all things considered with our weird weather and drought here garden is faring pretty well at the moment. Would rather get some timely rains to help than racking up the water bill but it is what it is.
