I apologies if this is true. It seems this is an example of where tradition gets in the way of progression. They may need to develop Herd book Volume 14??? 1917 was a long time ago....

What makes you think what Knersie says is not true. A fullblood limousin has to trace back to Herd Book limousin in France on both sides of the pedigree to be registered as a fullblood.
