I didn't want to worry my CT family, so I didn't say anything until I pretty much knew for sure what was going on.

Monday night I felt a tearing pain along my left rib cage. Went in to the immediate care on Tuesday morning. They took some chest x-rays. Dr. told me everything looked fine, I had some great looking lungs.
That was a relief.
I got home just before 5pm and found a message on our machine telling me to call them immediately.
Called and found out that they had scheduled a CT for me on Thursday, the soonest they could get me in.
They had found a nodule in my right lung.
Went in yesterday and waited to hear from them on what was found.
Heard nothing.
called them this morning, they had the report back but had to hear from a Dr. on what it says.
Called again this afternoon. Still nothing.

Finally got the call I was waiting for.
The nodule is 6mm and non cancerous.
*sigh*
What a relief.

They want me to see a specialist who will monitor it.

That is a relief. You are right thta is the definition of a stressful week. I hope everything continues smothly. Good Luck! JLP

MO it was the craziest thing. My left foot still hurts from being stepped on almost 4 weeks ago. They took an x-ray of it too. Nothing broke, but it was imflammed so they think it caused the pain.
Dr. never said it was gout.
Go figure.

No cracks, bruises or breaks on the ribs. So I don't think they truly know.

Had a crazy reaction to the anti-imflamatory they gave me.
It felt like I had hot sauce on my face.
Not taking it any more.
It stumped the nurse I talked to too.

Glad you are OK and that it wasn't cancerous.
As for your pain, try a chiropractor. I ended up at emergency last year getting every test known to mankind as I was having chest pains and was unable to take anything more than a shallow breath. Had my heart monitored, put on oxygen, lungs looked at etc., etc., etc. Finally they said they couldn't find anything wrong and I was released. Great except the pain was still there. Next day I went to my chiropractor he pushed on a rib I felt some pain and then total relief. Why whatever was out didn't show up on the x-ray I don't know. All I know was I wasted a lot of taxpayer dollars and a whole day of my life when all I had to do was spend 15 minutes and $40. at my chiropractor.

The doctor you went to first wasn't named Dr. House was it? ;-) I agree with you about the chiropractor. Mine is amazing and has saved me from going under the knife for many years. It seems all the hospital's want to do is cut on me again. Its not happening as long as my chiropractor can work his magic once or twice a year.

I love my chiropractor. I will move wrong once in awhile and get my lower back off center. He pops it back in and I ice it for several days and I'm as good as new.

Whats weird is it only hurt that night and only when I yawned or took a deep breath.

That must have been very scary , am very happy that it is benign. Prayers for you ,hope you feel better soon.

BTW that is what we are here for ILH. You can always count on us for support and prayers ,even if you are just waiting for results. ;-)

Got a call from the specialist's office this morning asking if I could come in today instead of the end of the month.
I went in. Talked with his nurse for awhile.
Told her I really didn't know why I needed to see him. Told me it was to set up a treatment plan.
What?

Doctor came in and I told him I really wanted to know why I was there.
Found out someone had written in my record that I was a life time smoker.
this guy drove me crazy. He wasn't listening to what I was saying. Got things confused. It was nuts.

Calling my regular care giver tomorrow and talk to them.

Did find out that I had more then one nodule. Have 3 in my left lung too, but are smaller then the one on the right.
