Stolen Cattle

A couple of Texas Southwestern Rangers are investigating fourteen head stole out of the Hearne Texas area.
They think they are in the area about ten miles north. Cattle are branded with a pretty distinct brand.

With these prices, I feel we may be in for more problems than usual.

No sense looking too hard - they are already cut up and sold

No one in their right mind would keep them if the brand was registered - too easy to pick them out of a crowd.

Here they steal new born calves that were JUST born. They have been stealing them on Tuesday or sometimes Wednesday mornings since the closest sale barn is open wednesday

There was a big loss from one rancher from southern Alberta 59 head of yearling heifers they had it on the news and posted a reward of 25000 $ they had posters out covering most of Alberta. They found them about 10 days later in the owners pasture he said it was a clerical error didn't count them right.
