Stock tank Float Valves

I've seen concrete stock tanks with a ball float valve that looks like it was built from a brass and copper toilet float valve. Are these manufactured specifically for stock tanks OR are they toilet float valves that have been redesigned to work on stock tanks? If they are, how is it done?

> I have one on my galvanized stock tank but it's a plastic one....garden hose hooks up to it and has float underneath the housing. Co-op should have it...works great.

They do sell a valve that looks like that - we used it on a Rubbermaid tank. However, we found that the cows were really hard on it. We like the Hudson valves much better
