stem maggots

Anybody having issues this year? I noticed a few stems yesterday and pulled the whorl and found where the maggot had been .

The stem maggots are so bad here the fertilizer warehouse recommends spraying pesticides after each hay cutting.

They are bad here on regular bermudas but not on T85. I know a guy who sprays every two weeks with permethrin to keep them at bay. Was told cattle will turn their noses up to maggot infested hay but I haven't seen that to be the case myself but you can hear anything around here but bacon frying and change a jingling.

I had them. Hopefully the are gone after I sprayed
Lamb Dy Ce(not sure one the spelling).
They can stunt a crop of Bermuda pretty quick.
