Got a 1150 lb steer in the beef lot. On corn.

Noticed a couple weeks ago that he was peeing sideways. Upon further inspection, his poor little weiner looks like it was broke/mangled somehow. Looks awful. Looks like ground beef kind of from the broken spot on downward. The lower 4 or 5 inches.

His appointment is early February. He is eating and drinking just fine. Urinating just fine. Doesn't appear to be infected, just very ugly.

Anything come to mind? I assume he was trying to be a bull and got hit or something. I did have a dud of a bull that wanted to do nothing other than eat. This steer and another were in breed mode. Has been a couple months though since I pulled them off the herd. Did not notice it then, but very well could have been like this for a long time.

It retracts into the sheath like normal. Doesn't appear to be bothering him.

Nothing to worry about?
