I was out riding colts this morning and found a 250-275 lb. heifer calf staggering drunk like. All 4 legs are affected and she keeps falling down. She's not blind. We roped her and brought her in and now I am trying to figure out what to do with her. Vet says give a B-Complex. Any plants that might do this? I am in southwestern Oregon. Or is it neurological?

That's the kind of thing you see around here from time to time after the first frost, some kimd of weed I suppose . I would take her temp.

I would get her in the barn and if you can bottle feed a package of electrolites. Feed her just a cup or two of grain with some hay or alfalfa if you have it. Was the calf yours or did you just find it. Let me know how she does. I am just up in albany, OR.
