Thanks Chippie. I'm sure you could grow them, they are one of the easiest veggies to grow

chippie is from the Gulf Coast--and yep lettuce will grow here, but we got bugs galore that love lettuce more than we do. I tried it 2 years, and they looked horrible and the heart of the lettuce was mushy from some sort of hideous worm.
