Anyone have any opinion on aluminum vs plastic sprayer tanks?

Contrary to popular belief aluminium will corrode. Some of these chemicals are very acidic. Go with the plastic.

Ditto. I use several chemical that you cannot put in aluminum. Besides, with the price of aluminum these days you might go out there and find your tank missing.

I was asking because we have a chance to buy a sprayer in pretty good shape with a 500 gal aluminum tank. Just wondering what the downside is because it's a pretty good price.
