I am interested is AI breeding heifers with sorted semen. I know the technology has improved in recent years. What should I expect for cost and conception compared to unsorted semen?

Been looking at doing the same. ABS and Select Sires are $50 ST genetics has several options but I don't see their prices listed I guess you must have to just call them to get a price.

Sign up on ST to see prices.. not hard to do.

Cost depends on the bull, but most sexed semen runs at least $40 per straw and up. I've had really good luck with it in recent years. The key for me has been breeding based off of natural heats and inseminating 16 to 20 hours after observing standing heat rather than the traditional 12 hours. ST Genetics probably has the largest variety of sexed semen available, and from my past experiences I can say they have been good to work with.
