Show calves tend to end up over fattened anyway.
400# @ 4 months plus #2.5/day gain for the next 81 days would put her at approx 603# at 205 days of age. That is MORE THAN ENOUGH size for a heifer at that age.
And as someone previously mentioned...it is all about having fun (and hopefully learning some life lessons while you have fun).
