I took these a few weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to get them posted as I was working on finishing up school. Later this evening, I'll have some more to post. Any comments are appreciated.

Good pics, the calves sure are cute....I really like the name Remington!

What breed are they? They have lineback coloring, and they look dairy.

The white "trim" looks great on them, and little Remington is a nice looking calf!

Michael

All the ones I posted with the white tails are Pinzgauers.

I like the name Remington also...it's my eldest son's middle name. My current herd sire is named Carington....my youngest son's middle name. I must say I have never seen cattle that look like yours. Are they a dairy breed? They are thin like dairy breeds. The calves are very nice. That coloring may not do good in a market where I am but I would love to see all that color in my pastures.

Nice colors. My first impression was the cows are underfed or overstocked. Are they getting anything besides grass? Grass looks short. Seems you'd want more fat when starting lactation. Of course, I'm no expert.

They are a beef breed, and the rest of the grass in their pasture is quite long, and they were fed hay until early April. They've also been getting some grain. We've been having to wait for the field to dry up to do vaccinations, now having to work around work schedules.

Hey did you just buy some heifers off of Duane Mickelsen?

Yes, I did. They were delivered the end of March. The one is bred to Haller Fox, due the beginning of July. I'll get some pictures up of them also.

I took a few more pictures on Tuesday when I went out to load the bull for auction.

Here's Water lily with cowgirl_up_47 (aka my sister). Water lily is 4.
