Wow. Those Canadian plains can flat raise cattle. Good stock. What are they ?
Well, we cull pretty hard, and I keep some pretty extensive records. I have individual records for every cow that has EVERY calf she ever had. I keep track of BW, WW and ADG as well as some other stuff too. Gotta have good cows on those plains ;-) .
Okay, here is what I know about these cows.
Pic. #1 Cow is Red Angus X Hereford calf is sired by Black Angus
Pic #2 Cow is (I think) Gelbveih, Hereford and possibly Black Angus. Calf is AI Black Angus.
Pic #3 Cow is 3/4 Hereford 1/4 Black Angus. Calf is AI Black Angus
Pic #4 Cow is Hereford, Red Angus. Calf is AI Black Angus.
Pic #5 Not sure on the cow, most likely Red Angusx. Calf is sired Hereford.
Pic #6 Cow is Shorthorn possibly Red Angusx. Calf is sired Hereford.
Pic #7 Cow is Black Angus. Calf is sired Hereford.
