calf on first pic is a GAR yield grade heifer, second pic looks like they could be purebred shorthorns but they are only 1/8 and 1/16 and the rest is mostly simmental blood. and the last pic is a view of the range back when our grass was green.

Beautiful scenery! What kind of trees are those in your woodlot? Do you have Oak there? Or is it maples or something else?

Enjoyed your pictures. Nice cattle and landscape. If you were
closer I'd ask if that roan heifer was for sale(in 2nd pic)

mnmtranching---- i am located south of the detroit lakes area. how about u???

yes- the cow-calf in the second pic both have a very small amount of shorthorn blood in them- the rest of there genetics is mosty simmental with a little bit of hereford.

the calf is from a black simmental bull. I have a full sister to her that is a beautiful black roan- or blue roan as i have heard some of u call them- she is bred to rito 2x15 and should make an awsome cow next spring :cboy: and nope- they arent for sale

FarmerD44, How much you need for that black roan today? ;-)

You been getting some rain lately?

I'm just down the road, Park Rapids. 8)

Nice Cattle.
What's all that green stuff on the ground? :cboy:
Ours consists mostly of weeds despite constant spraying over the last several years.
