Sent a dozen calves to the feeder sale a few weeks ago, 9 steers and 3 heifers born late august- mid september.
553 lbs average @ $3.08/lb average.
Very pleased.
Fed them mostly oat silage the last few months, they sure were looking sharp.
When we got into the beef business 6 years ago, the first group of calves we sent to the sale barn went for $1.22/lb average, certainly a nice change.
