Small heifer

I have 5 healthy 1 yr old heifers. They are all in good condition, but one has not been growing. She is half the size of the other 4. She hasn't grown in a few months. Does anyone know why she will not grow? Is there some medical problem or is she just not getting enough nutrients? Please help!

If the others are growing well and they're being fed together, then it's not likely to be a nutritional problem. Does she look OK? Bright eyes, good coat, stay with the other heifers? Did she come from the same ranch as the other four? Like people, cattle grow at different rates; she may just be a slow grower. Good luck...

I have some black angus and some of them are smaller than the others. the smaller ones produce prettier calves in my book. Nothing to worry about as long as the cow looks good and runs with the herd.
