As the owner of a small business I can tell you that just because a business seems to "never miss a beat" when looking from the outside things may not look the same from the other side of the glass. Most small business owners learn to stretch a dollar and make things work for themselves even during hard times. It's big business that tends to go broke with a few months of bad sales. We made it through and kept all employees that would work, not sure how many got paid to sit home and wait on test results too. I hear all the time how our business was lucky and just trucked on through like nothing happened when the truth is the amount of sales we lost are more than most in this area will make in 10-15 years. We went for months with zero profit because of this deal
