About a month til the county stock show and I will be clippingour percentage dorper lamb for her market class.

I am getting lots of varying opinions on what type of blades to use..Appreciate some insight on this.

she has ALOT of fuzz..she looks like a puff ball with legs.

Ive never done this before, sheep are not huge in my area..help appreciated.

With my market lambs, we want them as slick as possible. #40s or #50s are what we used or any type of surgical blade. There's a greater chance to knick them, but they will be super slick & handle really well.
When I trim up the leg wool, I just use a small set of clippers with a #20 or a blocking blade. Blocking blade will be more precise, as it is sharpened all the way out to the tips of the teeth.

Ill PM Keren..thanks

so you trim their legs too? Was told to leave those "be"..

this clipping thing is new to me..I got a hair sheep so I dont have to worry about this carp.. :D

thanks everyone.
I watched a youtube video of a dorper winning reserve 2 years ago at the county show..gave me hope my meaties can hold up to the big club lambs...potentially. :)

Hoping we make weight on the one he really wants to exhibit..shes got a good temperment..the other one is a beach..but bigger..
