I have a cow that is getting extremely skinny. I assume that it is probably hardware disease. She gets around extremely good compared to what she looks like. Think it could be something else. I wormed her last fall. What are some of the symptoms to look for in hardware disease?

They'll usually not get around very well and stand/walk kind of humped up. Depending on where the wire is poking there could be breathing problems, lethargy, bloody stool, etc. Why not try worming her again and try giving her some really good quality supplement. If she's milking she could be just milking it off. Also, what do her teeth look like. If she has started to go broken mouth she may not be able to eat enough to fill her needs.
