Technology can be great, the boy already got back with me.
Our herd is heavily influenced by one cow, given to us by my grandparents, over half the herd were her direct descendants some years ago. Should mention in these years, expanded from 16 cows to 80.
The two bulls we owned that worked so well, each in turn had sired over half the herd before they were retired. Before we started line breeding. So their genetics will show up repeatedly in our herd today.

The Dateline son, at the time Dateline sons were leading the pack at a number of bull tests around the country, although the one we purchased was not at a bull test, Jim said he was out of one of his best cows. Purchased the Masterfare bull at their dispersal sale as a calf, liked his mother, never heard how he got the B/R in his name. The next purchased bull after the Masterfare bull, would have made someone an excellent steer.
So I'm still learning too.
