I wish you hadn't mentioned seed ticks. Bad bad memories from decades ago.

Me too, but it's been decades since I've been in any, or heard of anyone else getting into them. I've always speculated that fire ants wiped them out, but don't have any research to back that up.

The fire ants aren't as bad as they once were. I hope that doesn't mean seed ticks are coming back.

No thank you. We've still got plenty, but they aren't as bad as 30 or so years ago. Back then I can remember looking at hay fields and not seeing a place you could lay a piece of plywood without covering at least one bed, and don't even think about leaning on a fence post, or sitting on the ground. They're definitely not that bad now.
