It seems there are a decent number of outfits producing Simangus cattle. Its a nice blend. However, Simm X Brangus would simultaneously blend growth and heat tolerance. This could easily be produced by breeding 3/8 blood Brangus cows to a Simm bull... providing stabilized base genetics for a great composite. There are also plenty of solid faced black Simm bulls out there to use to keep the color consistent. ...So why aren't more outfits in the southeast producing Simbrangus?

they are marketing them as "SimAngus HT". The ones I have seen have been Simbrah x Angus. Using purebred and 75/25 Simbrah bulls or cows on both black and red Angus, so it would be 50% Angus, 3/8 Simm and 1/8 Brahma.

With the ASA now working with the Red Angus Assoc, you will prob be seeing more of this especially on the females.
