Sideboards for flatbed truck

What do you guys use for sideboards on your flatbed? It's about time to redo mine, I've got 2x4 stakes going up 12" with some scrap ply fastened to it I had laying around.

I always used a treated 2x4. But I was only trying to get 3 1/2" high.

Those were tough trucks. Tough on mileage too!

Heavy gauge c channel smooth side in.
Unlimited place to hook straps, holds up . Before the passenger side was cut down for the toolbox I used them many times for atv ramps...used the winch didn't ride up them.
