I have a Jersey that just calved in October. The calf was sold. She now has mastitis in all four quarters. One back quarter has been dried off because os severe swelling and I was wondering if there was anything besides penicillin that would help in the 3 good quarters. Is it possible that staff infection could occur because of mastitis and reduction of milk. She is very alert but doesn't want to milk out anymore. Hate to lose her. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Might be milk fever, I'd have a vet check her out.<p>: I have a Jersey that just calved in October. The calf was sold. She now has mastitis in all four quarters.
