Sick Calf

I have calf (3 months) that went down - lays on it's side and can not use it's hind legs. It appears to have no strength in it's hind quarters at all. It tries to pull itself up on its front legs but can't get the back legs to cooperate. Gave it antibiotics and energy drinks. Vet says thinks it coccidiosis, but symptoms don't talk about paralyzed hind legs, just general weakness. Any ideas?

My girlfriend had a claf recently that had been kicked, at the time the calf had its head through a gate, the resulting kick caused its neck to be injured by the gate, steriods helped minimaly, but it sound like you may have some spinal or nerve damage, I would have your vet do a basic neuro exam to see what kind of pain perception the calf has, if compromised, it may be cheaper to cut your losses and remove animal from herd
