How quickly does a cow start showing that she's pregnant? Exposed about mid May if that helps.

Depends on the cow, just like a pregnant woman. Usually by about 4-5 months you can tell that there is something different about them. If they are nursing a calf it isn;t as noticable, don;t know why. By 6-7 months it's pretty obvious.

some never show anything

Those ones end up on TLC's "I didn't even know I was pregnant!"

Thanks for the replies guys. I was kind of thinking it was too early, guess she's just getting well fed.

jerry and i are on the same page.
I have some that look 'big as a house' all the time. One calved out just a week or so ago - nice, big calf - I can't tell that she's any smaller than before. Most folks would still think she was heavy with calf.

Vividly remember going to see a fat mare that some clients had bought 'in foal'. "Look - you can see the foal moving in her belly!" But, when I palpated her, there was...nobody home...
Abdominal contractions do not a baby make.

In my cows I start to see obvious calf movements from about seven months. But you wouldn't want to use that as a diagnostic tool, because in some of them you'd never see anything and in others, it's only a fleeting movement. I reckon I can confirm they are[\i] pregnant from seven months by appearance, but I couldn't certainly say that one wasn't without other evidence - although you generally only have to wait three weeks for that.

The only way to know absolutely for sure that the cow is pregnant is when you see the calf's feet coming out......

Seriously, though, I start seeing a prego belly around 5 months, usually.

On most of mine I don't notice them starting to look heavy until about 7-8 months... and it's usually when you start to notice a little bit of flabby butt too

Mega on the other hand looks like she's about to pop even if she's not in calf.. however, since I've been milking her, I have felt the bump of a calf in her belly on occasion.. just feel a bit of a hard lump in there once in a while.. She was bred about May 10th.
