Show your bull(s) - Put a pic up

Help Support CattleToday:

Add me to the list lineman, good looking Bulls. I like #1 a lot but that #2 bull is outstanding, deep and wide with plenty of muscle, have you got any pics of some of his calves?

Very nice Bulls, I like 2 and 4. Do you breed horned Herefords?

Here's a 10 month old daughter of the #2 bull. Weaned this summer and thrown out in a native grass pasture, so not a show heifer.

Can you be more specific? Looking at the pictures I'd guess maybe South Texas brush country?

We have plenty of Mesquite in North Texas too....LOL

I'm just south of Wichita Falls, Texas

Those are nice bulls, regardless of where you are. Do you mind telling us where you got them?

I haven't posted any pics in a long time, so here goes...

Two year old herdsire (3 years old now)

Awkward angle, but it shows his thickness.

No daughters in production yet. First one is in calf now, bred back to her sire. His dam was a solid 12 year old when I bought her. Lost her to gallsickness just before she was due with her next calf. I' ve got a few cows out of his sire's paternal halfsib and thet are very milky, very feminine cows.

Injector_from_JD.jpg

This is Injector. Just got him back in April. His first calves are coming in late Jan, early Feb.FS 6 bull, 2nd birthday the end of November 2015. I want to make smaller cattle and hope he will be the start. He did clean up after A.I. and ET this spring. EPDs are excellent across the board, and maintained them after the 50k genetic testing.Birth weight 78lbs, 205 weight 782(ratio 110), yearling adj weight 1236 (ratio 112). Quiet tempered.

Thanks Backbone! I think we have similar taste. Injector was last measured around the first of April, just before the sale I bought him in. He measured 39.5cm at that time. I really like a lot of things about him more and more. When I buy a cow or bull I usually find stuff about them I don't like over time and the magic fades on them for me. This bull has been different so far. I like the way he is developing this fall, especially his feet, and docility. I have learned he is an easy keeping sort which is a big plus too. His calves will be the test for me. If they are good enough, I will be sold on this bull. We did collect a few straws on him this summer, but only around 100. There will be some of his calves in a few other herds too, so we may really know something summer 2016. For what its worth, his scrotal EPD is in the top 3% of the breed.
