It's a mix of guzerat, nelore. The sire is a registered Brahman and his dad is JDH Woodson de Manso 206/7, he has the big ears from his daddy. Heaviest calf we ever had to date.

I wished I had them in NYC the closest place I can see cattle here is the Bronx zoo or drive 40 min upstate. Family farm is in the northern part of Guatemala.

It does. When they are in that pasture it's nice just to sit and watch.

This heifer calf is really looking good already even though she is one of the youngest calves.




This cow is 15 years old and has never missed a calf yet.

This is the 15 year old cows calf. She gave me a little bit of extra color this year.

Today was branding day. The cows sorted off from the calves. I could not get my computer to download the picture of the calves, so here is a pic of the mamas. It was a good day for branding, not to cold and not to hot.

Moving cows around today. Also put the bull in for cleanup after AI. We have been blessed with lots of grass this spring they don't know what to do with all the eats.
