Help Support CattleToday:

Fescue has been headed out here for a little bit as well but im not real far from KY hills.

It dominates here but we don't tell the cattle how bad it is and they haven't seemed to figure it out. When we take the first cutting of hay off we get a field dominated by johnsongrass. We don't tell them how bad that is either.

A few of the yearlings up on the hill. There is 72 yearlings and 5 cows who were still dry when we branded. I never do see all of then at one time or in one check. There is about 300 acres and a lot of it is rough and lots of places for a cow to hide. Some of the tame ones where by the salt and minerals this morning. Others hit the high road when ever they think I am in the country. An idea of what the pasture is like. And finally my assistant wait instructions. Sorry Patty no cow chasing this morning.P5222904.JPGP5222911.JPGP5222912.JPGP5222916.JPG
