Hello, I was hoping to get some thoughts on my bull calf. He's about 7 months old and around 450lb. Just wondering what people think of him this far. Thank in advance!

He is no Hereford but will probably make a descent Brahman bull. Looks a little post legged but I bet he would make some good cows.

I don't know anything about eared cattle. Are they normally so small at 7 months?

Oh yeah, definitely no Hereford. Wishing I went with that vs a Brahman bull haha.

I think they are usually bigger, this is my first Brahman, I raise Herefords and have been around Angus cattle. But they weaned him early, at 4 months, which I then gave him a bottle till about he was about 5-5 1/2 months.

Might be that he is a mini-Zebu?

He has the shape that I see in photos of Brahmans. They can be pretty impressive animals fully grown, he seems to be a bit woolly for a Brahman, do you have cool winters?
I don't know if I would be trusting tying him to those rails, they seem a bit light on to me.

Yessir, we do get cold winters. I was surprised how woolly he was too, but it's been cold here, enough to where I catch him shivering.

Yeah, I won't be tying him to those rails again, I don't want him to break it.
