I planted some rye grass this past fall. Along with that I spread 16-6-12. Everything looks great now but I can tell that I'm going to have a wild flower problem in a few weeks. So I wanted to spray some weed killer this spring but I'm not sure if I should fertilize again. What do ya'll think? Would I run a risk of puting to much out in short amount of time. I sent a soil sample out that I should be getting back in a few days.

How much 16-6-12 did you put out per acre? Until your sample comes back you won't know what to put out anyway...

Bigger risk lies in whether it rains or not...and if it does will it be enough to do any good. No way, at this point can anyone give an educated guess without at least seeing what it looks like.

fall to spring isnt to early to fertilize. A soil sample will tell you how much. Your summer grass may see a benifit this late.
