Alright, everyone, wish me luck. Tonight we're setting up a couple of cows for AI. This is our first time. I've seen it down a few times, watched some videos (a few times each) and I think I'm ready to go. I will have someone stick them, though. He's done thousands, and does all the cows for the guy we bought ours from. Here's hoping it works.

Good luck! It's is very fun and rewarding when it works well. Very frustrating when it doesn't.

What protocol are you using? Timed ai or heat detection?

Good luck Best. Are you setting them up on the synchronization with breeding on observed heat or straight timed AI?

I see T & B has the same question.

We went with timed. My work schedule sucks for heat detection. I work 12's and the wife is not thrilled about penning them by herself. She's getting better about it so maybe next year we'll try heat detection. Inserting the CIDR went well. I have to say I was pretty proud of myself for just being an old city kid.
