I have three calves about 5 months old,and just looking at them they look to be in the 200-300 pound range. Was thinking of selling them to individals for butchering.Dose anyone have a idea on what I could get for these calves each.Thanks.

Check with your local Sale Barn Sale Results...usually published weekly.

Other than that...

I wouldn't sell one to another for "meat" for less than $1.50 a pound live weight. Depending on their "color" and whether or not they're steers or heifers, you could expect anywhere between about 75 cents and $1.10 a pound live weight at Sale Barn, less their commission and yardage fee. If someone feeds one out to 600 to 800 lbs then it would take them perhaps 6 months to get to that weight.

If the calves are less than a BCS of 5 then your could probably discount the above prices by 25 to 50%
