selecting a bull for a heifer.

Ok I have brahman show heifer thats about ready to be bree, how do I know what epd to go with on her ?

im looking a bull to AI that has a epd of + 2.8 her epd is 1.6 on her papers.

What EPD? birth weight, weaning weight, yearling weight, carcass, milk, maternal? What is the accuracy of those 2 numbers? There is an EPD for darn near everything in some breeds. I am guessing you are talking birth weight, and in that case, I am sure there are lower BW bulls out there for a heifer. That being said, depending on the ACTUAL BW of the bull, it may not be too much of a concern.
