Select Sires new herf bull

Help Support CattleToday:

He sure has the numbers going for him, and I like Ward's cattle. You don't often see calving ease and birth weight so good with such good weaning and growth numbers. His back legs are set so it's hard to get a good look at his back end in that picture for certain. The impression I get from the picture is that he's a very big animal. Hard to judge that without seeing him or at least having some more pictures.

Early (actual) numbers show a lot of promise and with the maternal sires in his pedigree he should be a good maternal sire.

Looking at the accuracy levels of his EPDs, it's still too early to tell what kind of a breeding bull he's going to be, so I'd let others be the "guinea pigs" and put him on a list to take another look at in a couple of years.

He should be very maternal and so far his dam is ratioing 106, but she has only had 2 calves. She had those within a 365 day period. I didn't know durango was a 6.5 frame animal as a yearling.
