Many SA's will find every reason to prepare food outdoors around a fire although their houses are well equipped with all the cooking facilities, not only the summer months but winter too. It's a social event where one unwinds with family and/or friends around a fire. The smell of burning wood and then after the coals are ready, the aromas of braaing meat and food in the African air....it's something else
