Any fellow SD'ns know how they are handling the sales as of June 1st when the "Trich Rules" was implemented? I took a couple opens to the sale barn a few days ago, but on the MN side of the boarder. They didn't know a thing there.

I don't know if you need a premisis ID or what to sell, but YOU may want to read it since you seem to live so close to SD. You also cannot import any open breeding cows to the state unless they are registered or have a calf at side. The letter I got last week I think said 35 herds were infected. Mostly west river.
Thanks, Dee! I put that site in my favorites. It will come in handy for me in the future. It still did not say wheather you need a premisis ID to sell or how they will be assured the cattle are not re-bred. Maybe it's on the "sale barn honor system"? If there is such a thing. I will call Ft. Pierre Monday to try to get more info.
