The youngest calves either have E. coli or osmotic diarrhea. If they are at all weak they definitely need a non-bicarb containing oral electrolyte with sucrose in it, possibly antibiotics. If they are really weak or god-forbid down, they need a vet ASAP to save them. They don't have much body reserves and can die quickly, would likely need IV fluids, maybe an anti-toxin, maybe hypertonic saline.....The two week old could be the same or also could be viral in origin. Seriously, call a vet at least for advice on this--it could save a lot of money in the long run!<br>Good Luck!<br>V

I would try spectrum, its actually a turkey medicine but works well on cattle. app. 10cc inj. and 10cc orally. this usually works on the calves that we have had this problem with. you can also use pedialite for the electrolytes. not very tasty but will work. have had sucess with this, personally. good luck
