Can calves get coccidiosis when they are first born? we vaccinate our cows before they calve for ecoli and rotovirus etc. but every calf born scours 2-3 days after they are born we lost a lot until I started feeding baby cereal with the electro lytes. They get over the scours in a couple of weeks but some can't get up if I put them back on milkreplacer they scour again

> scour again Coccidia have a longer incubation period (7 to 9 days). It is not that. Are you revaccinating your cows for blackleg yearly? Might be claustridial.

We had some problems with our heifer's calves this year. The vet told us to feed them some electolytes and keep them off the cow for a day or two. It worked great when we started it.
