I saw this 'After the storm' picture of Hong Kong today, and wondered what the deal was with all the bamboo in the middle of the streets.

Had to look for the reason.
Seems bamboo scaffolding even on high rise buidings in Hong Kong is 'a thing', and sometimes they wrap it all in plastic sheeting....or, silk.

I knew they did that but to see the scale of it is quite amazing!

Hello everyone. I looked at these photos and I felt really scared. Why people should die because of the incompetence of their bosses. Do not forget that in a location with increased danger, the requirements for forests are as follows:
-It is forbidden to carry out installation / dismantling of scaffolding in strong wind, rain, ice and snow.
-It is forbidden to fasten scaffolding to balconies, cornices, parapets and other protruding elements of the building. Most likely, the authorities do not comply with these requirements. You can read more details here - petesuen.com. Good luck to you!

You sound like a troll.

You would think the weight of the BALLS on anybody who would climb that would cause it to collapse! Scarily impressive!

Anybody else notice the diameter of the string on that guys belt being used to tie it all together. To think a job here gets shut down if you don't have adequate water coolers and crappers for your work force.
