According to this fellar that wrote the peice i read supposed to report all your guns on your income tax and be taxed up to $50.00 a gun.

Nothing to it. Its a hoax created by some lobbyist who want some donations. Create a problem, drum up fear and the money will come rolling in. If you don't believe me ask Al Gore. Same game different side of the board.
